A comparison/contrast presentation is best suited for what type of organizational pattern?
Answer:
topical pattern
Explanation:
A comparison/contrast presentation is best suited for topical pattern.
What is presentation?A presentation is a method of communicating information from a speaker to an audience. Presentations are usually demos, introductions, lectures, or speeches intended to enlighten, convince, inspire, motivate, develop goodwill, or introduce a new idea/product.
A topical pattern organizes material by distinct sub-topics inside a larger topic, or the "kind" of objects that fit under a broader category.
One of the most typical arrangements for speeches is a topical structure, which is employed when the primary points of your speech center around concepts that aren't constrained by a pre-determined relationship, such as in a chronological presentation bound by the components of time.
Therefore, it can be concluded that A topical pattern is best served by a comparison/contrast presentation.

THE MATCH
There never was a time when the world was without fire, but there was a time when men did not know how to kindle fire; and after they learned how to kindle one, it was a long, long time before they learned how to kindle one easily. In these days we can kindle a fire without any trouble, because we can easily get a match; but we must remember that the match is one of the most wonderful things in the world, and that it took men thousands of years to learn how to make one. Let us learn the history of this familiar little object, the match.
Fire was first given to man by nature itself. When a forest is set on fire by cinders from a neighboring volcano, or when a tree is set ablaze by a thunderbolt, we may say that nature strikes a match. In the early history of the world, nature had to kindle all the fires, for man by his own effort was unable to produce a spark. The first method, then, of getting fire for use was to light sticks of wood at a flame kindled by nature—by a volcano, perhaps, or by a stroke of lightning. These firebrands were carried to the home and used in kindling the fires there. The fire secured in this way was carefully guarded and was kept burning as long as possible. But the flame, however faithfully watched, would sometimes be extinguished. A sudden gust of wind or a sudden shower would put it out. Then a new firebrand would have to be secured, and this often meant a long journey and a deal of trouble.
In 1827, John Walker, a druggist in a small English town, tipped a splint with sulphur, chlorate of potash, and sulphid of antimony, and rubbed it on sandpaper, and it burst into flame. The druggist had discovered the first friction-chemical match, the kind we use to-day. It is called friction-chemical because it is made by mixing certain chemicals together and rubbing them. Although Walker's match did not require the bottle of acid, nevertheless it was not a good one. It could be lighted only by hard rubbing, and it sputtered and threw fire in all directions. In a few years, however, phosphorus was substituted on the tip for antimony, and the change worked wonders. The match could now be lighted with very little rubbing, and it was no longer necessary to have sandpaper upon which to rub it. It would ignite when rubbed on any dry surface, and there was no longer any sputtering. This was the phosphorus match, the match with which we are so familiar.

countries to be willing to help refugees
They show that the United States has participated in
international conventions on how to handle the refugee
crisis
They make it clear that the United States will lose the
respect of other nations if it does not help these children
This question is missing the excerpt. I've found it online. It is the following:
Read the excerpt from "Children of the Drug Wars."
By sending these children away, "you are handing them a death sentence," says José Arnulfo Ochoa Ochoa, an expert in Honduras with World Vision International, a Christian humanitarian aid group. This abrogates international conventions we have signed and undermines our credibility as a humane country. It would be a disgrace if this wealthy nation turned its back on the 52,000 children who have arrived since October, many of them legitimate refugees.
The underlined words and phrases have strong negative connotations. How do they support the author's purpose? [...]
Answer:
They support the author's purpose because:
A. They draw attention to the opinion that the United States is not doing enough to help these children.
Explanation:
Even though the excerpt is missing the underlined words and phrases, there is only one option that has any true connection with what is being said. The excerpt is about how the U.S. has been failing to help children who arrive in the country as refugees. Instead of welcoming them with care and safety, they are often sent away, back to their countries. It is clear that the U.S. is not doing enough for those children. Therefore, the correct option is letter A.
Options B through D can be easily eliminated. This excerpt does not concern other countries' roles in this crisis, international conventions, or the way in which the U.S. will be regarded by other nations.
Answer:
A) They draw attention to the opinion that the United States is not doing enough to help these children.

I blinked with a light wag that came from my tail, the long obnoxious thing thumping wildly from wall to wall while I patiently waited. It was a Thursday morning, and my owner had decided to let me out for a quick bathroom break. Birds sang from the other side of the door, the strong scent of a passing storm traveling through my snout. My eyes lit up with excitement, luminescent light from the bulb above made my silver fur shining brightly with it. It had been nearly a good minute while my owner stared down something from afar. Another furry looking animal had stood on my territory, my yard! I knocked my head at the door to attempt my escape, but my beloved owner had already done it for me. How nice of them!
As soon as that door opened, I began in hot pursuit towards the animal, lifting my wet paws to stomp at it. I know that most of us dog species would be most definitely angry to see another animal on its territory, but I couldn't help but smack my paws down and raise my bum, barking playfully. It was scared, almost frozen in place from such a scare until a reaction I never thought had existed, done right in my face! Instead of returning my kind gesture with another, they dared to stick their bum into my face, tail abnormally standing tall on its own.
Some nasty stench had entered my nostrils, sending shivers of disgust up my spine. I quickly retracted from the animal with white stripes, whimpers, and whines escaping through my gritting teeth while I ran towards the back door, Yet my owner just shut me out! I continued to bark in distress, begging to come inside. When my owner brought over mother, they called that thing a "Skunk," which I kept in mind. The "Skunk" had passed gas in my face, which needed special treatment. The smell had gone away after they showered me with tomato guts, though it was a rude and disgusting thing that the "Skunk" did, I still would love to see it again!
